Nonsuch News

Autumn term is here again...

Welcome back everyone. It is good to see all the children back with big smiles on and looking forward to this year ahead!

Last week, we were all learning about British Values and what it means to be British. Each Class studied:

  • Tolerance
  • Respect
  • Democracy
  • The Rule of Law and
  • Individual Liberty.

P.E. starts this week. Please ensure your child(ren) have their P.E. in school and have their names clearly labelled on their clothing.

Look out for our Termly Newsletter, which can be found (with lots more information and homework) on our Class BLOGS!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Art in Bloom

Over the Autumn Term, all children across the school will be working with our resident artist to produce a large scale art project. So far, Ann-marie has visited each class to listen to their ideas of how the project should look. The children have suggested that we should have some huge flowers to welcome guests to the school. The plan is that all children will have a petal of a flower that they have personally produced. This large scale Aluminium installation will be coming soon...

Whole School Art Week

Children from across the school have had a fantastic first couple of weeks! Each class has taken the work of a different famous artist and have really immersed themselves in producing art of that style. Lots of the children's work is up on display now so come and have a walk around the corridors to see what we have been up to.

Interschool Dance Project

Over the last term, Year 6 children from Nonsuch, St Michael's and Quinton Church Primary schools have been preparing their own dance projects.

On Tuesday 10th January they all came together at St Michaels to put on a combined show for their parents.

The children all had a fantastic day getting to know children from the other schools and sharing their fantastic dance moves.
